Plot Synopsis: In a metropolis, a criminal gang known as the “Hero Party” operates. Their leader, the “Savior,” and his girlfriend Maria use a colossal robot named “Pioneer One” to carry out terrorist activities, leaving the police helpless.
Xiao Xu, a former Hero Party member, grew up alongside Maria since childhood. Disillusioned by the gang’s actions, he defected with the backing of his mentor—a Hero Party elder. In a bar, Xiao Xu meets Curly, a special agent developing new weapons for the police, and the two become close friends. Meanwhile, the Hero Party unveils its next-generation humanoid robot, Pioneer II. Obsessed with the robot’s power, the Savior designs Pioneer II to resemble his girlfriend Maria.
The Hero Party, suspecting Xu of betrayal due to his friendship with Curly, dispatched the Maria robot to hunt him down. During the battle, the robot was damaged. Meanwhile, the police also suspected Curly of being a mole and sent agents to arrest him. The two were forced to flee to a dilapidated hut in the mountains. There, Curly modified the Maria robot, turning it into an ally. To prove her loyalty to her boyfriend, Maria personally led Pioneer One and a large contingent of followers to the shack, intending to eliminate the pair. The two used the robot Maria to fight back and later escaped with their master’s help.
They fled with the robot Maria to a shipyard, where Curly developed a steel cannon specifically designed to counter Pioneer One. Journalist Zhuang Ziqiang followed them there. Seeking a sensational scoop, Zhuang tipped off the police about their whereabouts, leading to their arrest. The robot Maria was taken back to the “Hero Party” base by the real Maria. Deeply troubled by his actions, Zhuang infiltrated the Hero Party base. With Master Xiao Xu’s help, he rescued the robot Maria, but the master was unfortunately captured by the “Savior.”
Zhuang Ziqiang brought the robot Maria into the police station to rescue Master Xiao Xu and Curly. Together, they stormed the “Hero Party” base. After a fierce battle, they finally eliminated the “Savior” and rescued Master Xiao Xu. The real Maria jumped off a high platform, dying by suicide for her boyfriend.
